The Opportunity

As our Senior Backend Engineer, you'll build healthcare infrastructure from the ground up using modern cloud-native technologies while working directly with generative AI systems at scale. You'll shape technical decisions that impact thousands of healthcare professionals daily, joining us during our rapid growth phase to collaborate with medical experts on solving real-world healthcare challenges.

You will be part of the product & engineering dept and collaborate closely with engineers, tech lead, CTO and product manager

Core Responsibilities

System Architecture & Performance

• Design and implement high-performance backends serving AI workloads
• Optimize system performance for sub-second response times at scale
• Capacity planning to support rapid user growth
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks before they impact users

Cloud Infrastructure

• Contribute to multi-cloud infrastructure with focus on Azure
• Ensure uptime through redundancy and fault-tolerant design
• Implement security best practices for healthcare data compliance

DevOps & Automation

• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for rapid, safe deployments
• Enable developers to ship features quickly and confidently

Observability & Reliability

• Improve monitoring and alerting systems
• Create self-healing systems with intelligent auto-scaling
• Lead incident response and post-mortem processes

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a self-driven and proactive Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment where your ideas are valued, and you can actively contribute to building something meaningful and impactful

• Proven backend engineering track record building systems serving large number of users
• Strong cloud expertise including compute, storage, networking, and managed services
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and API design
• Experience with database migrations and optimization
• Skilled in monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and implementing auto-scaling mechanisms

Nice-to-Haves: Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Kubernetes orchestration experience.
